Configure webTA

Introduction
Getting Started

Main Menu

The Configure Messages option allows you to configure webTA system messages. The ‘Login Message’ appears only on the login page. The ‘Banner Message’ will appear on the top left of every webTA page.

The Configure Password Policy option allows you to dictate the rules that are enforced by webTA to ensure that system users enter only strong passwords.

The License Management option allows you to enter license strings provided to you by Kronos Incorporated. which automatically configure webTA based on the options you have selected. A restart of the application server will be required before these options take effect.

The Email for Tasks option allows you to determine whether webTA will use the internal tasking system exclusively, or whether it will attempt to email tasks to system users, and only use the internal system when email is unavailable. This is also where you specify the settings for the SMTP mail server address and the email address to be used for sending and receiving all webTA emails.

The Build File FTP option allows you to initialize and configure webTA to automatically transfer build files to a remote FTP server. Although this feature can be used to transfer the file to any server reachable from the database server, the most common destination is the FTP server maintained by the NFC for the purpose of accepting files from their customers.

Please note that the first time the FTP configuration screen runs, it uploads current FTP functionality to the database, which can take up to one minute. Please allow time for the upload to complete.

The Audit option allows you to log certain types of auditing information. There are some predefined channels that need to be turned on in order to start auditing changes to the system. An example of such a channel would be "Audit T&A Validations". Each such channel can be individually turned ON or OFF by the Administrator. The entire Auditing is turned OFF by default.

The Holiday option list all the federal holidays in the current leave year. The menu also provides a way to enable/disable a feature that will automatically insert a holiday transaction for each employee every time pay period is changed (provided there is a holiday in the new pay period).

The Session Management option allows administrators to set the length of time (in minutes) a session my be idle before being invalidated.

When finished, click Return to return to the Administrator Main Menu.
