The Edit Account Structure page is used to the modify an
existing account structure or while creating a new one. The
functions available on this page allow the user to create or
modify account fields as well as change a fields position
within the structure.
The page displays a list of the account fields available to
the structure along with a radio select element for performing
certain field specific actions. The list of fields contains the
following information.
- Pos. - The field's position within the account structure.
- Name - The name of the field.
- Type - The field's type. (fiscal year field, value field,
fixed field, key field, key value field and timesheet
entry field)
- Format - Indicates how the field value will be entered/
selected on the interface.
- Fixed Value - The fixed/default value
- Field Length - The length of the field. If the field has a
different transmission length then the transmission length
will appear in parentheses.
Also present on this page
are inputs for the maintaining the structure's meta-data.
There are inputs for the structure's description, the agency
to which the structure in assigned, and the start and end
dates of the structure's period of availability. Changes
to these meta-data inputs will not take affect until the
structure is saved.
Edit
Edit the properties of the selected field. This function is
not available to structures that have existing accounts.
Remove
Remove the the selected field. This function is
not available to structures that have existing accounts.
Values
Manage the account field values available to the selected field.
This may be selected by clicking the "Edit" button.
Move Up
Reposition the selected field by moving the it up one row. If
the account structure contains an appropriation code it will
always appear that the top. Therefore no field may be moved
above it. This function is not available to structures that
have existing accounts.
Move Down
Reposition the selected field by moving the it down one row. If
the account structure contains an appropriation code it will
always appear that the top. It may not be moved down.
This function is not available to structures that
have existing accounts.
New Field
Create a new account field for this structure. It will appear
at the bottom of the field list.
This function is not available to structures that
have existing accounts.
Save Structure
Save the structure. Attempting to save an invalid structure
will cause an error message to be displayed and no action will
be taken. When this happens check the table of invalid reason
for a detailed explanation of why the structure is invalid and
correct the error.
Return
Return to the Manage Account Structures page. If the
structure is modified, the changes will be lost.
