Timekeepers and master timekeepers in webTA have an ability
to do corrected timecards for employees. There are 3 kinds of
corrections that can be done.
- Local Corrections - DO NOT Transmit to NFC
- Prior Corrections - Transmit to NFC
- Regular Corrections - Transmit to NFC
Local corrections
Local corrections allow a timekeeper or master timekeeper to
correct a timecard locally without transmitting it to NFC
during the build process. The timekeeper should be granted
the ability to create local corrections on the employee
profile. That is when the options will be displayed.
The system will allow you to create non-historical local
corrections up to the first pay period of
initial webTA install. Timekeeper and master timekeepers can
create historical local corrections but only master timekeepers
can create non-historical local corrections. Both these roles
need local corrections role property granted to perform this
action.
Timekeeper can select the pay period and leave year for the
timecard to be corrected and click Create Local T&A
button. Local corrections can be validated and
certified just like regular timecards but will not be transmitted
to NFC.
Prior Corrections
Prior corrections allow a timekeeper or master timekeeper to
create a non-historical correction (missing timecard) without
the restriction of regular corrections (regular corrections
are limited to the previous 26 pay periods or 1 year).
Timekeeper can select pay period and leave year for the timecard
to be corrected and click Create Prior T&A
button. Prior corrections can be validated and certified just like
regular timecards and will be transmitted to NFC.
When the correction (local, prior, and regular) is completed and
built, the system will roll updated leave balances forward to
the current pay period for the employee. This only applies if
all of the intervening pay period records exist for the selected
employee in the database.
To cancel without creating a corrected T&A report click
